At Twisted Stem every floral arrangement, fresh and silk, is designed by John Regan.  As designer, manager and part-owner, John brings a Master of Fine Arts degree and over 40 years of floral shop experience to Twisted Stem. You will see the difference.

David Miller grew up in the flower shop business and will go above and beyond to make your flower purchase easy and successful.

We are intentionally a small shop. We have no books of standard arrangements. We have no standard wedding packages. John listens to each customer, shares his ideas and recommended flower choices and creates each piece to meet that request.

In our shop you will find:

• Extraordinary fresh flowers – many you have never seen before –flown in from sites around the world.  Ask to see the back cooler!
• Silk florals you will touch and still not be sure – fresh or not?
• A wide range of containers, some of which we design and produce ourselves in the shop.
• Small yet fascinating assortment of plants including many types of orchids.
• Changing assortment of seasonal and unpredictable giftware and cards.

Check out our portfolio, and you’ll know why there is a board of awards here in our back room. But remember our portfolio is not a catalog, you can’t order a #1 from the menu. Each and every arrangement is special and unique. The portfolio can, however,  be a shared point of reference between John and each customer, helping determine the scale, color, attitude and price of the piece being ordered.

We deliver every day in the greater Crystal Lake area and frequently in the broad area of McHenry County and northwest suburbs of Chicago.  We do weddings from southern Wisconsin to downtown Chicago.
