Behind the scenes on a recent bridal bouquet
We recently made this lush bridal bouquet in tones of deep purple contrasted with a vibrant spring green. It featured flowers such as parrot tulips, lilacs, astrantia, fritillaries, clematis, orchids, black raspberries, a few anthurium leaves, some white blooming crabapple and green hydrangeas.
To contract the organic lines of this full and flowing bouquet, we inserted the flowers through a square jute-wrapped armature we constructed. It provides support for the stems so they don’t lay down too much and it gives support to the large anthurium leaves.
Our modern bride was ‘over the moon’ with her bouquet, and the couple had a lovely, albeit a bit cold, wedding day.
